Valentine’s Day is a special time of the year when people express their love and affection for one another. For many, it is a time of happiness and joy, as well as sharing gifts as an act of love. This Valentine’s Month, we are celebrating love with our campaign named ‘Living And Loving Beyond Disability.’
Living with a disability can be challenging, this includes experiencing physical, emotional and social barriers. However, it should not limit people from experiencing love, joy and living a meaningful life.
Through our campaign, we want to highlight that people with disabilities have desires, dreams and aspirations just like everyone. More than anything, we also want to showcase that people with disabilities can experience deep fulfilling love and relationships with their partners, families or friends who also play an important role in their safety and well-being.
This Valentine’s Month, we encourage people with disabilities to live their lives to the fullest and embrace love and happiness. We also encourage able-bodied people to help us break barriers people with disability experience by creating a safe and loving space for them.
The #LivingAndlovingBeyondDisability campaign will be featuring individuals with disabilities as they share the challenges they have faced together with their partners and family members, as well as bring awareness and highlight the importance of the safety of their loved ones, in the case of an emergency.
